Good Books to Read

This list is not in any particular order.  It does not necessarily reflect the views of anyone, except me.  It's just a list of books that I consider worth reading.  Some of them have been required reading in schools, and some <gasp> I've read on my own.  So call me a book worm...I've heard it before.

  • Vergil's Aeneid (best in Latin, of course)

  • Orthodoxy - G. K. Chesterton

  • The Alexiad of Anna Comnena

  • Brave New World - Aldous Huxley

  • Plato's Republic

  • The Hyperion Cantos - Dan Simmons

  • Plutarch's Lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans

  • Mere Christianity - C. S. Lewis

  • The Confessions - Saint Augustine

  • The Bible  - (I know I don't really need to put it on here)
