What is Archaeo-Astronomy?
People throughout history have observed and studied the stars.  Archaeo-Astronomy, as the name suggests, incorporates the study of astronomy with that of archaeology.  Using celestial models (such as Skyglobe) as well as picks and shovels, scientists attempt to recreate what ancient peoples would have seen.   Many important archaeological sites have been found to have astronomical significance.
